Hot Now: Inglot Toronto

For makeup lovers across the world, Inglot is a must have in a kit. From beautiful neutrals to bold colours for both eyes and lips, Inglot offers a wide selection of products for eyes, lips, complexion, cheeks and nails.

Known for their Freedom System, each palette is customizable to whatever you would like, and with over 1500 shades to choose from, there is no shortage of options. The possibilities are endless!

The store, located at 19 Dundas Square (beside the Hard Rock Café, right across from the square) will be opening its doors to the public on Saturday, September 20 from 12 - 6pm.

I was lucky enough to be invited to a pre-opening shopping party with some other lovely bloggers. The store is amazing! It's laid out very nicely with plenty of space for people to look around and swatch away at just about everything.

For those who are not familiar with the Freedom System, most products are sold as individual pans and you buy the cases separately. Cases are available in singles, duos, triple, quads, 5, 10, 20 or 40. They're also available in different combination sets as well. Eye shadows, brow powder and waxes, lipsticks, blushes, concealers and pressed powders are all available as part of the Freedom System.

At the main table, where the Freedom System items reside, there are magnetic handheld boards (?) where you can take an item you're interested in and place it on the board. The items are magnetic so they'll stick to your board, enabling you to see what your selection looks like together. It's a great visual, however a little troublesome when there are many people. Because they only have 1 "tester" of each, if a specific colour is on someone's board, you may miss it completely. You either have to wait for the colour to come back (and hope no one else grabs it before you), or take note of the number.

Once you're happy with your selection, you bring the magnetic board and all it's glory to the cash where they go and gather all of your products. Because other items, such as the gel liners, lipsticks & glosses and nail polish aren't magnetic (and not part of the Freedom System), this is also when you let them know what other items you'd like. I suppose you can take off the little sample square and put it on your board, but they aren't very magnetic and don't hold well (mascaras and gel liners do not have a sample square)

Compared to one of their leading competitors, MAC, Inglot's prices are a little lower, and you actually receive more product. Here's a few prices: Regular shadows are $10, the rainbow shadows are $12, a two-pan palette is $9, a 10-pan palette is $18 and lipstick squares are $10.
See below for more pics and a peak at my haul - a separate post to come for the haul.

    1. Figured since I might only be able to get to Inglot twice a year, that would be the best choice :)

It was great seeing you there as well :)

    1. Thanks Jenn! All the colours in the store are pretty! I see myself visiting Inglot whenever I visit Toronto (and luckily, that isn't too often or I'd be broke!)
